Overview

GEMS Research Lab is the Group for Embedded MicroSystems Research Laboratory. Here is a general overview of our lab:

Embedded is defined as making something an integral part of another thing. System is defined as a group of devices or artificial objects or an organization forming a network especially for distributing something or serving a common purpose; Merriam-Webster dictionary. Therefore, embedded systems form larger systems that are expected to function without human intervention like PCs, MP3s, CD players, and many other commercial and industry products. GEMS research lab is concerned with aspects of hardware and software designs and implementations for embedded systems on custom or commercial platforms.
